Purpose:
This policy provides guidance and principles regarding selection of links for
inclusion on the Fox Valley Memory website.
Policy:
- Websites containing
other relevant local history information will be linked from the site. Sites
to be linked will be evaluated for inclusion based on their relevance to the

for the Fox Valley.
- Evaluation
criteria will include, but not be limited to:
- Historical
accuracy and factual representation
- Unique
historical value of information
- Biographical
information on persons associated with the Fox Valley

websites.

national resources with some content pertinent to FVM
- FVM will actively
seek appropriate links in top priority areas, but may evaluate and include
links in lower priority areas as FVM project staff become aware of them. Nevertheless,
any qualifying links of whatever priority may be included.
- Fox Valley
Memory wil not give undue benefit to individuals or organizations by linking
to sites which are primarily commerical in nature.
- While FVM welcomes
links from other organizations to the FVM site for purposes consistent with
FVM's mission, FVM will not link to other sites merely on the basis of reciprocity.
- Within the
limits of copyright and other applicable law, FVM will not seek the permission
of other sites as a condition of linking to them.
